- demonstrate the ability to talk grammatically correct sentences of familiar topics

- identify the meaning and details of the reading texts on familiar and some unfamiliar topica

- justify  answers providing clear and strong arguments

-identify the relevant opinion of the speaker in a talk

- use the following structure to create arguments: Statement, Explanation,  Example

-speak fluently and grammatically true  at the time of  explaining own point of view range of general topic

-   use new vocabulary while speaking

-to provide answer in full sentences following the simple sentence structure (Subjec+verb+object+place+time)

Activity 1

Watching

Shows the video of solar system and  the  presentation based to the theme and shows  the title of the text of the lesson.

Determines the lesson objectives/LO together with students.

Determines expectations by the end of the lesson. Shows the assessment criteria.

     Descriptors:

-understand  the main idea of the video and discuss it;

- demonstrate the ability to talk grammatically correct sentences based to the video

 

Assessment criteria:

- exlain  the main meaning of the video

- talk grammaticaly correct at the time of explaining the main meaning of the sentences

 

Task 1

Activity 2

Have a group discussion about each solar system;

Then some  learners give their possible explanations\hypothesis to share about each solar system; 

Most of them give their explanation about one solar system in the space which they have chosen from the pictures.

 

Descriptors:

 

-explain their points of view and supports with arguments

-expresse opinion using appropriate linking words

-uses topic related vocabulary

 

Assessment criteria:

 

-to speak fluently at the time of explaining their   points of view based to the video

-to give correct information about the solar system

-to use words from the video at the time of speaking

Then the SS watch the title of the lesson will try to answer the question:

Vocabulary practice:

 

After listening to some ideas, all learners will be able to repeat new words after the teacher, some of them will make 3 sentences by using new words and most of them will be able to say the definition of new words in the English language.

Pre-listening stage:

 Before listening students, predict the words/ parts of speech in the gaps. They listen the recording twice.

After listening teacher’s feedback is essential.

Peer Check – Switch group/pair papers. Check and discuss answers/common mistakes as a class.

Activity 4

Speaking

After assessing the learners by giving stickers the teacher divides the class into 2 groups and the SS will do two tasks work-based to the theme of the lesson.

The learners have 10 minutes for preparing for their answers in oral form.

A: Imagin you were one of the scientists at Huston. Narrate the event from your point of view. Think about: the superstition, the problem, the success story.

 

B: Imajin you are an astronaut traveling in space. Describe what you are wearing, what you can see around you, and what the purpose of your space mission. Tell the class.

 

Descriptors:

- use topic-related vocabulary for main points, specific information

- Justify answers providing clear and strong arguments

 

Assessment criteria:

-to use new words from the text during  the answers based on the task

-to give clear and strong argumends

- do 80% of listening task correctly
